“Entek was out to troubleshoot a ground fault that we were having on an air handling unit here at Port Westward. There are two redundant air handlers and the unit they needed to troubleshoot was offline, while swapping control over to the unit that needed maintenance, one of the service tech immediately noticed smoke coming from the redundant unit that we had just taken offline. Without hesitation the service techs got to their vans to retrieve their fire extinguishers. While one tech assessed the fire and extinguished it the other tech quickly isolated power to the unit. in no time at all a situation that could have been far worse was mitigated thanks to their quick thinking and immediate action. Once the smoke had settled the techs went right to work to provide corrective actions and solutions to get our unit back into operation. Thanks for saving the day Gleaves and Nick!”
